Palace v Liverpool live: score, updates and line-ups

Palace have actually had the better of this last spell, pushing hard for a way back into it. Pino had a shot blocked before being saved by Alisson, Lerma also tested the keeper, and Nketiah narrowly missed with a left-footed effort after coming on, while van Dijk's foul on Osorio has given the hosts a corner to work. Liverpool still lead 0-2 and remain well-organised at the back, but Palace have edged the shot count since the last update and look the more threatening side right now.

Liverpool have continued to dictate the closing stages, picking up extra corners and shots since the last update. Barcola was booked for a foul in the 59th minute before being replaced by Muñoz, and Liverpool have since freshened things up further with Nyoni also coming on for Szoboszlai, while Palace had earlier sent on Osorio in the 60th minute. Palace are having to do plenty of defending without carving out clear chances of their own in this spell, as Liverpool look comfortable protecting their two-goal cushion.

Liverpool double their lead in the 54th minute - Wirtz sweeps home from the centre of the box after Barcola's cross finds him unmarked. Palace now face a mountain to climb at 0-2 down at Selhurst Park.

Not much has changed since the restart, with the stats barely moving from where they stood at the break. The second half has started cagily at Selhurst Park with Liverpool still 1-0 up thanks to Mac Allister's first-half header, and neither side has carved out a clear opening yet as both look to find their rhythm again.

Liverpool break the deadlock in the 40th minute - Mac Allister rises highest from a free kick to head home from the centre of the box after Gakpo was fouled. Palace 0-1 Liverpool.

Liverpool continue to dominate territorially and lead the corner count 4-0, but Palace have had the better of the chances - Pino hit the bar with a left-footed shot before Alisson produced a smart save from a follow-up header. Araujo picked up a booking for Liverpool amid a string of fouls from both sides, while Jacquet's header from a corner was the closest Liverpool have come in this spell.

Liverpool have dominated the opening quarter of an hour at Selhurst Park, enjoying almost two-thirds of possession and forcing Dean Henderson into an early save from Mac Allister's effort. Isak also had a shot blocked and Mac Allister headed narrowly wide from a Szoboszlai set-piece delivery, with Palace yet to register an attempt of their own as they're forced into a string of fouls to break things up.
